Digital Marketing Hub Closure

As part of our strategy to build a more focused product portfolio that delivers better outcomes for customers, we have made the difficult decision to close the Digital Marketing Hub (“DMH”) Platform and Service. As a result of that decision, the DMH Platform and Service will close on 24 January 2024 and therefore, your contract with us will end on that date too (the “Closure Date”).

Learn about our changes to the DMH Platform and Service and what they mean for you below:

When is the DMH Platform and Service closing?

The DMH Platform and Service will close on 24 January 2024.

What will happen to my active Digital Adverts I have from previous activity?

Your active Digital Adverts will run until the 18 January 2024 but after that, they’ll no longer be live on any Channels and the DMH Platform and Service will end. You’ll still have access to the DMH Platform for reporting until the Closure Date.

Your DMH Account, campaign analytics dashboard and customer support will be available up until the Closure Date.

If you are currently running or have booked a Digital Advert on the DMH Platform and Service, it will run until the 18 January 2024. Any Ad Spend left unspent at the Closure Date will be refunded.

We’ve summarised the position below:

  1. Active Digital Advert
Your active Digital Adverts will run until the 18 January 2024, after they’ll no longer be live on any Channels due to maintenance required for closure on the 24 January 2024.
  2. Booked Digital Adverts
If your Digital Advert is booked to start after the 18 January 2024 it will be cancelled and will not go live on any Channels due to maintenance required for closure on the 24 January 2024.
  3. New Digital Adverts
You will not be able to launch new Digital Adverts after the 18 January 2024 due to maintenance required for closure on the 24 January 2024.

Please refer to the ‘Ad Spend and Refunds’ section below for more details on how you’ will be refunded if you are eligible.

How we’ll be helping you

Up until the Closure Date you can contact our team by emailing digital.marketing.hub@bt.com for queries around your DMH Account. After the Closure Date, you can contact us by visiting business.bt.com/help/home/

Ad Spend and Refunds

If there is remaining Ad Spend on your Digital Adverts that you have not fully spent at the Closure Date, we’ll refund you the difference between the Ad Spend you paid and the amount you’ve spent on Digital Adverts already. This may include the Service Fee if you have chosen the Pro Plan.

If you choose to cancel your Digital Adverts any unspent Ad Spend will be refunded.

All refunds will be processed to the payment card used to book your Digital Adverts.

If you are a Pro Plan customer, we will also refund the Monthly Subscription fee for the time period between now and the 18 January 2024.

If you want to launch new Digital Adverts at any point up until the 18 January 2024, please ensure that your payment card is up to date and will not expire soon to ensure we can process the refund of any unspent Ad Spend.

Data

For any data collected and stored in respect of the DMH Platform and Service itself, please refer to the BT Privacy Policy for details of our data retention policies.

If you want to preserve:

  1. any advertising copy or advertising images used in Digital Adverts you have run on the DMH Platform and Service; or
  2. any Digital Advert performance data relating to Digital Adverts you have run via the DMH Platform and Service

then we would encourage you to login to your DMH Account before the Closure Date and copy that Content or for your own records as we can’t guarantee that we will be able to provide you with copies after this date (24 January 2024).

You’re reminded that BT will take steps to terminate your BT owned and managed Google Ads Account and Meta Ads Account after the Closure Date has passed. Data collected and stored through those accounts are subject to Google’s and Meta’s own data retention policies.

You’ll need to make sure that any authorisation you have provided to BT to access Google Analytics Account data from your Existing Website through the Google Authentication Process is removed and ensure that any links to the DMH Platform and Service from your own Channel accounts are removed immediately. BT does not accept liability for any failure by you to remove such access or links.
